Wickenburg maintains its small town charm and relaxed western lifestyle despite
being only thirty-five minutes from one of the largest metropolitan areas in the
country. Whether you enjoy traveling to Phoenix to see various professional sports
teams or you choose to spend an evening relaxing with a horseback ride through
the beautiful Hassayampa River canyons, Wickenburg has something for everyone.
Our community is nestled in the Hassayampa River Valley and surrounded by several
mountain ranges creating beautiful backdrops for this wildlife haven. Because
Wickenburg lies in the mountain foothills it stays considerably cooler than our
Phoenix neighbors and even in the hottest summer months boast pleasant evening
temperatures. In the winter the temperature rarely approaches freezing, creating
an ideal climate.
Wickenburg offers one of the premier golf courses in the nation, Rancho de Los
Caballeros, which was ranked number 10 in Arizona and 75 in the USA by Golf Digest.
The area offers several art galleries, and many prominent artists choose to reside
in the area. Just south of town on the Hassayampa River is a beautiful wildlife
preserve and within an hours drive are several area lakes. Wickenburg also just
finished building a brand new High School and offers an excellent educational
system.
